The biological mother of Super Eagles midfield enforcer John Ogu has departed mother earth as the bereaved footballer took to popular social media platform Twitter to write: "Worse day of my life."
Details of what really led to his mother's death was not stated but the Nigeria Football Federation have also confirmed the sad development through their verified Twitter account on Monday evening.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Nigeria Super Eagles midfielder John Ugo Ogu following the passing of his Mom. May her gentle soul rest In peace."
