See the reason for NWFL matchday 5 postponement

By Emmanuel Oladele - The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Chairperson Aisha Falode has announced the postponement of matchday 5 for all NWFL clubs. This is to ensure that COVID-19 test is conducted for all the club's players and team officials in the league.

It is obvious that some clubs in the NWFL are yet to meet up with the directives of NWFL Secretariat on Covid-19 Test for players and team's officials.

The league has been postponed for one week which will be used for the collation and validation of test results submitted by clubs.

All clubs are expected to have conducted the test and sent the soft copy of the result via mail [likewise the hard copy (original)] on or before 15th of January.

According to the League Chairperson, Aisha Falode, "tests from unapproved centres will be rejected after verification and the clubs involved will be suspended from the league."

Games slated for this week has been postponed until next week, all fixtures for matchday 5 will now hold on January 20th.
