Jean Marc Makusu - I've always wanted to play in South Africa

By Buhle Booi - Orlando Pirates newly signed forward from DRC, Jean-Marc Mundele Makusu ( Buenvenue Makusu ) has admits on his ambitions to play in South Africa.

"South African league is the strongest in Africa, they have strong and big teams in the continent. Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are known in Africa and they are also respected."

"I've only played against Mamelodi Sundowns in the Champions League and now I'm going to face them in the premier league, it's a good moment for me and my career, playing them in the Champions League and playing them in the league is different altogether, I'm ready for the experience."

"For me it's not only about playing in South Africa, but I'm playing for one of best teams and big teams in Africa, and i will feature in the Soweto derby which is the biggest in the continent. I know people will talk about Raja and Wydad, Al Ahly and Zamalek but for me Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are big."

"My joy can never be explained, I hope that I have a good relationship with everyone in the team and work together as teammates and friends, and do everything we can to win trophies and become a formidable team in South Africa."
