UEFA Super Cup: Sevilla gave a hard fight in Budapest but Bayern survived

By Emmanuel Oladele - Spanish side Sevilla gave Bayern Munich a hard fight in the UEFA Super Cup on Thursday night, but the German Giants survived the threats of the Europa League Champions.

Lucas Ocampos put Sevilla ahead in the 13th minute via spot kick, but Leon Goretzka restored parity for for the UEFA Champions League Winners in the 34th minute to end the first half 1-1.

The second half of the thriller resumed and ended with no goal, which moved the game into extra time. Bavarians substitute Javi Martinez got the winning goal that left Sevilla hopeless in the first half of the extra time (104 minutes). The second half of the extra time produced no goal as Bayern Munich were crowned the Champions of the 2020 Super Cup.

After the entire game time, it's Bayern Munich 2-1 Sevilla, so it ended at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary and Bayern are the Super Cup Champions.
