Arsenal join the race to sign Chelsea target Philippe Coutinho

By Emmanuel Oladele - Arsenal have joined the race to sign Chelsea target, Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona, latest reports confirmed that Arsenal are set to open talks for the former Liverpool midfielder.

The Brazilian has been a major target for Chelsea, but the Blue will now have to face competition from the Gunners to secure the service of the Barcelona midfielder.

The midfield moved to Barcelona in 2018 for £142m from Liverpool and has failed to impress at Camp Nou.

Coutinho who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich will be returning to Barcelona this summer, after the German Giants have refused to take up the available option of signing the player permanently.

The Catalans are ready to offload the Brazilian this summer with Chelsea, PSG and Arsenal on the queue for the 27-year-old.
