By Emmanuel Emmanuel - Recently some Former Super players accused former Super Eagles coach, Late Stephen Keshi of taking bribe from them before they could make the Super Eagles squad.
Former Gombe State Football Association Chairman and Special Adviser to Former Kano State Governor, Alhaji Gara Gombe Shuaibu took to his Facebook wall on Sunday to clear some doubts on Bribery allegations involving Late Stephen Keshi. Gara Gombe revealed how the Big Boss resigned from his position as Super Eagles assistant coach to Late Amodu Shuaibu because of the bribery allegations levelled against him and Late Shuaibu Amodu by then Sport Minister COL. Musa Muhammed Rtd. in 2002 after AFCON tournament in Mali.
Alhaji Gara Gombe Shuaibu writes;

GARA AS A FRIEND HOW WILL YOU FEEL IF I TELL YOU THAT I AM RESIGNING AS A COACH OF THE SUPER EAGLES? I replied I will feel bad but why?
"The Minister of Sports your Brother from Gombe COL. MUSA MUHAMMED Rtd. accused me and AMODU SHUAIBU that we are corrupt and have collected Money from players during AFCON in MALI.
"I then asked KESHI did you? He said no I haven't, that is why I called a PRESS CONFERENCE to announce my Resignation and I want you to join me. I said where? He said at the Hall Down Stairs. I Said "BIG BOSS" as he is fondly called give me few minutes to reach out to the Minister or His PA, SULAIMAN or YAKMUT his SA? Keshi replied no need. I will resign to Clear my Name.
"The next Hour we were at the Hall filled with Journalists. I remember after the Event TONY UBANI alias GRA GRA of Vanguard Sports said GARA why do you allow him to resign? I said i tried but He refused.
"Recently some misguided and Useless players accused Keshi of taking bribe. When he was alive all those years they kept Quiet, if not stupidity why now when the man is not alive to defend himself? Very irritating Stupidity and loose canons coming to talk rubbish about the Dead. KESHI is a friend a wonferful Guy. Rest on my friend.
"Today I dig out the picture of that Press Conference in 2002.The man on the Right is KESHI's Lawyer."
