By Oladele Emmanuel - Chelsea seems to have received transfer boost on Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho. According to report, Liverpool have contacted the 27-year-old to let him know that they will not be bringing him back to Anfield.
Coutinho who is currently on loan with Bayern Munich is expected to part ways with the Spanish Giants in the summer after failing to impress since his £142m move to Barcelona in January 2018.
Chelsea now look to be having the edge over other teams who are also interested in signing the midfielder with report from Sport a Spanish Publication which claim Chelsea are 'very close on the Brazilian.
Though, many speculated a return to Liverpool for Coutinho, if Liverpool are to be in the race, it could make the deal difficult for Chelsea as the Reds and Coutinho may work with previous relationship and strike a deal, but good news for Chelsea as the Reds are no longer interested according to SPORT.
