Atlanta 96: Meet the Super Eagles Player that Led Pre-Match Prayer in Nigeria's 4-3 Win over Brazil

By Oladele Emmanuel - Many would see the Atlanta 96 semi-final 4-3 victory against Brazil as Miracle, yes it's the Lord's doing, but before the game, a Super Eagles player led the team in prayer and with the way the game went, we can say it was an answered prayer with how the result turned out to be.

In the pre-match prayer Pastor Taribo West led the prayers, bending down in the middle of Super Eagles circle and fervently said some words of prayers with the rest of the team who made the starting eleven.

The prayers does work as Nigeria had a miraculous comeback from a 3-1 deficit and made the game 3-3 before the normal time.

In the extra time, KANU heroic goal earned Nigeria a 4-3 victory to book a final fixture with Argentina whom Nigeria subsequently defeated by 3-2 to clinch the Atlanta 96 Olympics Gold medal.
