Ahmed Musa Slams "Fake News" Over Coronavirus Diagnosis

By Ilekhuoba Taiye - Former Leicester attacker, Ahmed Musa has rubbished any news suggesting that he has been diagnosed with the deadly disease.

Few days ago, the Super Eagles forward and his family were pictured in a private jet returning to Nigeria from his base in Saudi Arabia.

After his arrival, he confirmed he and his family are strictly in compliance with the rules of self isolation for a maximum of 2 weeks while some media perceived and portrayed the 27 year old as a suspect of Covid-19.

Musa then took to the social media to clarify that him and his family are safe and healthy stating that the audience should debunk any false claims from the media.

The Al-Nassr winger however obliged Nigerians to adhere strictly to the rule of social distancing to curb the spread of the disease.

"It has come to my notice that certain individuals have decided to post false news about me testing positive to Covid 19," Musa wrote on Instagram. ⁣

"This is a pandemic taking peoples lives in thousands so it is sad that some people want to use this to gain followers or views on their pages by spreading falsehood.
"My family and I came in from Saudi Arabia and decided to follow the government's rule of isolation for 14 days, not because any of us have the virus. We are perfectly okay and have not tested positive to the virus.
"Please don't fall for the malicious messages circulating about me or my family. Stay safe, maintain social distancing."

After the 2018 world cup, Musa moved to Saudi Arabia to aid his football career following his poor run with the 2015 Premier League Champions, Leicester City.
