Following Atalanta's 8-4 on Aggregate victory over Valencia that fired the Italian side to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, the Gian Piero Gasperini side have become the first UEFA Champions League debutants that makes the quarter-finals since Leicester City in 2016/2017 season.
Another Italian side to have created that recorded is Lazio in the 1999/2020 season of the UEFA Champions League.
