Premier League Club to battle Atletico for River Plate forward

Everton are interested in signing 24-year-old River Plate forward Rafael Borre, but will have to battle Atletico Madrid for the service of the striker when the January transfer window opens. can also report that Atletico Madrid are linked with the player and Diego Simeone is ready to land the Colombian at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

The Forward began his career at Deportivo Cali in Colombia, scoring 24 goals in 16 appearances which earned him a move to Atletico Madrid in August 2015, signing a six year contract at the club.

Borre was immediately loaned back to Deportivo Cali in 2015, and has also played for Villarreal on loan. But in August 2016 he joined Argentina side River Plate, where he scored 18 goals in 54 appearances.
