Home Based Super Eagles popularly known as CHAN Eagles lost their opening game of the ongoing West Africa Football Union Nations Cup to the Hawks of Togo.
After failing to the same Togolese team in Lomé a week ago in the Championship for African Nations qualifier, the Nigerian domestic players were expected to redeem themselves.

Nigeria home-based Super Eagles will now compete in the quarter final of the Plate competition.
