Nkana slaughter Buffaloes as Mbombo signal his return

Nkana 2-0 Green Buffaloes.

It was Mbo mbo mbo mbombo mbombo mbombo! At the Chilata Stadium as it marked the return of Idriss Ilunga Mbombo at Nkana stadium. Mbombo announced his return to the Zambian super league with a brace, as Nkana beat Green Buffaloes via a 2-0 scoreline. Mbombo who had left Nkana for Sudanese side Al Hilal Oduraman found the back of the net in the 57th minute, with his  second coming through in the 75th minute which saw the Wusakile Boys wrap up the game with 3 points in the bag. The win sees Nkana FC go second on the log table with 3 points and 2 goals, while the Army Men Bufaloes drop to the bottom on 17th position.
For the Army men in green it was a bad outing as the were hoping to start the league on a high and especially that Nkana Stadium had been their good grazing ground in the many encounters that they have had at that venue. The last time Nkana managed to beat Green Buffalos at this venue was in 2015 whenthe won witj the same score line. With  Buffaloes missing the likes of Adrian Chama and Diamond Chikwekwe who have since joined Zesco United and Nkana on a loan deal respectively, it was always going to be hard for them to pick up points without their two men who had been so impressive last season.
Elsewhere,  in Lusaka, Lusaka Dynamos played host to Lumwana Radiant whom the managed to beat via a 1-0 goal after Congolese striker Chris Kope mugala scored a penalty which was awarded to the Dynamos team in the 75th minute. The loss for the Radians sees the newly appointed Coach Mulenga Chewe start the league on the loss note.
