Breaking: Samson Siasia's mother finally released

After 77days of being held in captivity, Samson Siasia's mother finally regained freedom.

For the past two months, the mother of the former footballer and coach was kidnapped by unknown men in Bayelsa. The Olympics Silver Medalist was already facing depression has every efforts to get his mother released proved abortive.

In addition, it is no longer a news that Samson Siasia has some issues to resolve with the World Football Governing Body, FIFA, following a ban that was imposed on him recently.

In the early hours of Sunday, Siasia mother was finally released by the Abductors.

According to Siasia, "Received a call from my wife this morning that my mom and others have been released. I am grateful to Nigerians for their prayers and to everyone that had a hand directly or indirectly in their release."

"My mom is fine but she has to go for medical checkup. I can now shift focus to the FIFA issue."

The Former Super Eagles coach can now shift attention to FIFA related issues, as he hope to appeal the ban imposed on him by FIFA.
