Goal drought in AFCON, three games and no goal

Africa Cup of Nations strikers goes on leave as all strikers involved in Saturday match fixtures could not register a goal in all the three games played on Saturday. With the presence of top strikers like Ghanian André Ayew, Asamoah Gyan and Jordan Ayew, Villarreal of Spain and Cameroonian striker Karl Toko Ekambi and Stéphane Bahoken, yet no goal scored.

Benin Republic played a 0-0 draw with Guinea-Bissau, Mauritania held Angola to a 0-0 draw, while Cameroon and Ghana share spoil on Saturday.

Three games were played on Saturday in the Africa Cup of Nations but no goal.

The Sunday AFCON fixtures will see Nigeria facing Madagascar, Burundi welcomes Guinea, Egypt will slug it out with Uganda, while Zimbabwe lock horns with DR. Congo. Sunday encounters is expected to be rain-of-goals as top attackers like Mohamed Salah, Alex Iwobi, Odion Ighalo, Trezeguet (Mahmoud Ahmed Ibrahim Hassan, Samuel Chukweze among others will feature in Sunday's match fixtures.
