Bundesliga Giants Bayern Munich have signed Lucas Hernandez from Atlético Madrid on a five-year deal. The deal is said to be around £68m.
The defender was part of the French team that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. The 23-year-old will team up with Bundesliga defending champions on July 1.
The defender who was discovered to be having a damaged ligament on his right knee was equally handed a surgery on Wednesday after his medical.
Hernandez has expressed his delights to join the Bundesliga leaders, "Bayern Munich is one of the best clubs in Europe and the world, I'm proud to be able to fight for all possible titles with Bayern," Lucas said.
The defender can play as a centre-back and left-back, Lucas had 67 appearances for Atlético Madrid, winning the Super Cup and the Europa League.
