Ernesto Valverde extends Barcelona stay

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has agreed a new one year deal with Barcelona, and will keep him with the team until the end of 2019/2020 season.

Valverde who joined Barcelona from Athletic Bilbao has been enjoying life in Barcelona, winning La Liga and Copa del Rey in the 2018/2019 season. Barcelona President has heaped praise on Valverde's performance since joining FC Barcelona.

Valverde's men are also looking good in the La Liga this season, sitting on top of the log with with 51 points after 23 matches and 6 points off Real Madrid who is in second position. Barcelona will also be playing in the UEFA Champions League round of 16.

Ernesto Valvarde has also coached Olympiacos, Villarreal, Espanyol before joining Athletic Bilbao.
