Remo Stars Football club have received heavy sanctions from the League Management Company (LMC) following their fans behavior in the home game against Bendel Insurance on Sunday. Remo Stars fans descended on the match officials, beating them mercilessly and leaving them with series of injuries.
Club Chairman, Hon. Kunle Soname has been handed three match ban for making a comment that can destabilize the league.
Team Manager, Yinka Ajayi has also been banned from the league for the rest of the season.
Remo Stars will pay a fine of N6m and must also compensate the referees. The Club have also been asked to produce two notable supporters that were involved in the attack.
Any subsequent occurrence of such incident will have Remo Stars forfeiting three points.
