The Long awaited Nigeria National League Super 8 kickoff in a grand style with Gombe United playing a 1-1 draw with Kogi United at Enyimba International Stadium in Aba, Abia State.
An early goal from Joseph Onoja gave Gombe United the lead in the first half of the encounter. The first half ended 1-0 in favour of Gombe.
Ibrahim Enesi 62nd minute strike restored parity for the Kogi based team, after sending a powerful shot past Gombe United goalkeeper Adeyinka.
Gombe United next game will be against Real Stars on Monday by 8:00am while Kogi United will take on Kada City by 4:00pm on same day.
