Super Falcons of Nigeria drop to 39th position in latest FIFA Ranking

The Super Falcons of Nigeria after an outstanding performance in the just concluded Africa Women Cup of Nations, they have dropped from 38th to 39th position in the latest FIFA ranking released on Friday.

Dennerby girls did very well to defend the title they won in Cameroon two years ago, though they started slowly but they were outstanding at the end of the tournament, but that does not prevents them from dropping one place in the latest FIFA ranking.
In the latest ranking, Nigeria earned 1,586 points compared to the 1,607 points they had in the ranking that preceded the latest ranking.

On the other hand, Cameroon is in 46th position while South Africa is ranked 48th in the latest FIFA ranking. Cameroon and South Africa were third and second respectively in the just concluded Africa Women Cup of Nations.
Nigeria Super Falcons still remained number 1 in Africa with Cameroon and South Africa in second and third position respectively.
