South Africa 1-1 Nigeria: South Africa fails to stop Nigeria

The Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Saturday could not stop the Super Eagles of Nigeria from qualifying for the Cameroon 2018 AFCON. The South Africans did all what they could do but were not enough to stop the tactical Nigeria Side.
Nigeria opened scoring in the 9th minute of the encounter when Bordeaux of France forward Samuel Kalu cross was deflected into the back of the net by a South Africa defender Mkhwanazi as the deflection was too strong for Khune to manage.

The Bafana Bafana levelled up 17 minutes later when Tau displaced two Super Eagles defenders and sent the ball in front of Ezenwa the Nigeria Golie to Mothiba, who without stress tapped the ball into the back of the net to restore parity for the South Africans.

The first half ended 1-1 in favour of both team.

The second half of the encounter ended goalless though Nigeria scored another goal in the 83rd minute towards the end of the game via Watford striker Isaac Success, but was ruled offside by Gambia referee Papa Gassama.

After the draw, Nigeria now have 10 points from 5 games and are through to AFCON 2019 in Cameroon.
On the other hand, Libya walloped Seychelles 8-1 in Victoria, moving from 4 to 7 points and the final match in group E will determine the second team to goes through. A win or draw will be enough for South Africa why Libya must win to go through. Libya will be playing South Africa for their last group game in Tunis, Libya adopted home ground.
