AWCON: Super Falcons soar above Zambia

Super Falcons of Nigeria gets their AWCON title defense back on track with a satisfactory 4-0 victory over Shepolopolo of Zambia.

It was a professional performance from the eight times champions of Africa after a shocking opening game defeat to Desiree Ellis tutored Banyana Banyana of South Africa.
A 42nd minute close range finish from French based Desire Oparanozie gave Nigeria an important slim lead as the Bruce Mwape side showed some defensive organization.

But three second half goals  from Francisca Ordega, substitutes duo of Rasheedat Ajibade and Amarachi Okoronkwo ensured that Asisat Oshoala's bad day in the office didn't deny the defending champions resurgence ahead of their final group match against two time winners, Equatorial Guinea.
