Former Real Madrid midfielder Guti is set to replace Julen Lopetegui as coach of the club. Guti currently works as assistant coach to Senol Gunes at Besiktas in the Turkish League.
Guti is linked to Real Madrid coaching job to replace Julen Lopetegui who has been struggling since his emergency appointment as Madrid coach.
Reports from Besiktas also says Guti will be sanctioned if the deal goes through.
José Maria Gutierrez Hernandez popularly known as Guti started his career at Real Madrid with Madrid C team in 1994 in which he had 3 appearances and was promoted to Madrid B team in 1995 where he had 26 appearances, scoring 11 goals. Guti represented Madrid main Team between 1995-2010 where he had 387 appearances, scoring 46 goals before moving to Besiktas in 2010 where he also had 23 appearances, scoring 7 goals.
