Giroud, Morata fires Chelsea to FA Cup Final

The game started on a high note with Chelsea having the possession from the early stage of the game, an effort from Williams to put Chelsea ahead earlier in the game hit the bar in the 7th minute.

The first 45 minutes of the encounter ended goalless with no goal from both side.

Both team resumed second half without any substitution from either side, one minute into the second half, a nice ball work from Eden Hazard to Olivier Giroud, with Giroud breaking Southampton defence to slot in the first goal for Chelsea.

Alvaro Morata replaced Giroud in the 80th minute of the encounter and made impact immediately by heading home a fine cross from Cesar Azpilicueta in the 82nd minute to double Chelsea, it is now obvious that "without Azpilicueta, there is no Morata."

Southampton fighting spirit became intense toward the end of the game but could not get a single goal from all the efforts.

Chelsea will now face Manchester United in the final of 2017/2018 English FA Cup Final as United earlier defeated Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening with a 2-1 victory.

After 90 minutes, it Chelsea 2-0 Southampton.
