The 24year old striker said he found the Spanish LA Liga too difficult to cope with on his loan arrival from Manchester city at the start of the season.
The former Austria Wien marksman disclosed on Shakhtar Official website “Yes, I played a bit in Spain recently, experiencing a tough moment in my career. I consulted my family, and my wife supported the decision of joining Shakhtar.”
The pacy attacker will be looking forward to training with his new teammates and getting his debut as soon as possible.
Olarewaju who failed to register a goal in 13 appearance for Girona also stated his love for the Ukrainian based team Shakhtar Donetsk style of play “I like the football style they display. They are a top club. These days, everyone in Europe knows Shakhtar, so I’m happy to be part of the team.”
The Manchester City Loanee will be hoping for a better outing in the Ukrainian League with Shakhtar Donetsk.
