Match Report: OKCFL Week 17 Round Up

Matches were Decided in Week 17 of on going Ondo Kingdom Coaches Football League  (OKCFL) with lot of drama, intrigue and many more.

It was great loss to Laje United on Friday as FCBA defeated them in  front of their own fans at Laje. Aladejana Akeem put the visitors ahead in 51st minute while Ugochukwu Ugo double the lead in 68th minute from a well taken 32 metre free kick. Abdul score a consolation goal for Laje in 90th minute, 2-1 it ended in favour of FCBA.

SATURDAY LIVE: Run away league leader and defending champion , Otitolere FC defeated resilient Shadow FC by a lone goal.

Winners FC could not score a goal in two consecutive matches as the church boys were held to a goalless draw by Amigos FC. The experience defenders always paraded by the amigos prevented the sharp attackers of the church boys from seeing the back of the net with goalkeeper Caraga making an outstanding saves.

Bright Star 1-3 Mansfield FC: The Akinjagunla Boys run riot in the afternoon match by defeating the relegation threatened Bright Stars 3-1. Sikiru Taofeek put the visitors ahead in 20th minute while Tobi equalised for the host in 26th minute to end the first half in stalemate. Taofeek completes a brace in the 46th minute while an own goal from Bright Stars captain ensures that the day ended in sad mood for the home boys.

The last match on Saturday saw a 10 man Diamond FC held to a 1-1 draw against new look De Eagles FC. Diamond FC took the lead in 18th minutes of the encouter through Okechukwu Oke's header while Akinlonu Samuel scored an 89th minute spot kick to restore parity for De Eagles FC.

Dammy FC claimed important three points against Peace FC on the road last Sunday evening with 2 unreplied goals. The two goals came in second half of the encounter, Udeh Arinze opened the scoring in 55th minute before Aremu Johnson (Agbara) double the lead in 78th minute to condemn the Muslim boys near the relegation zone. Dammy now sit comfortable in 3rd place on the log.
