WAFU: Senegal Outclass Benin Rep, Niger on Driver's Seat

West Africa Football Union Cup of Nations is becoming interesting as round two of matches was wrapped up in Group B on Sunday at the Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana.

A Moussa Djitte 29th minute header,another header by Muhammed Kane in the 40th minute,Ablaye Diene penalty on the hour mark and Amadu Dia Ndiaye 85th minute finish was all Teranga Lions of Senegal needed to destroy an Impressive Squirrels of Benin Republic while Niger and Cote D'Ivoire played a goalless draw earlier on Sunday afternoon.

The results means that the surprise package of the Competition are topping the Group B table with 4points,Senegal,Benin Republic are both tied with 3points apiece while Cote D'Ivoire are bottom with a single point ahead of the third and final round of Group matches.

Ghana and Nigeria will renew rivalry on Monday in Cape Coast while simultaneously, Mali and Guinea will be doing battle in the final round of matches in Group A with one spot available as it is only Ghana that have confirmed qualification to the next round.
