WAFU : Nigeria edge Benin Rep to setup a rematch with Ghana in the Finale

Kano Pillars legend Rabiu Ali nets the winner as Nigeria beat Benin Republic 1-0 to qualify for the WAFU Cup final.

The 36-year-old playmaker drills the ball home after being split through on goal in the 11th minute against a 10-man squirrels team.

It's the second time in over a month Nigeria are knocking Benin out of a competition. Nigeria beat the Squirrels 2-1 on aggregate during the CHAN qualifiers. Goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa has kept cleansheets in all four games he's been in between the post in this competition.

Peter Eneji is the joint top-scorer in this competition with two goals.

The Super Eagles are the only team yet to concede a goal amongst the teams that got to the group stage of the competition.
Meanwhile,Nigeria will battle the Black Stars after the hosts defeated a deplicted Niger Republic late on Thursday night as goals in either halves from Kwame Kizito and Stephen Sarfo on Sunday to determine the Champion of West Africa.

Recall that Nigeria won 2-0 against Ghana in the last group match.
