Ghana 4-1 Nigeria: Black Stars Soundly Repaid Super Eagles

The Black Stars of Ghana retains the Wafu cup after thrashing the Super Eagles of Nigeria 4-1 inside the Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana.

Stephen Sarfo put the hosts infront on 43rd minute as Black Stars head into the break with a goal lead and more blows for Nigeria as Olamilekan Adeleye was stretched out because of injury before that goal.

Ghana brought in Patrick Razak in the second half and it paid off for Maxwell Konadu led side as he was brought down twice inside the penalty box,firstly by Olamilekan Aremu and secondly by Stephen Eze.
The spot-kicks were smartly dispatched by Atingah and Stephen Sarfo as they sent Ikechukwu Ezenwa the wrong way on both occassions.

It got more dramatic when Atingah was sent off for recieving a second yellow card in addition time but Ghana wrapped-up a scintilating champion performance by adding the fourth punishing a defensive mistake by Ikechukwu Ezenwa as Rasaq patrick setup Winful Cobbinah who finished with top composure but Rabiu Ali ensured that Ghana doesn't keep a clean slate with late consolation via freekick.
Earlier in the day,Niger edge Benin Republic by 2-1 in the third place match.
Ikechukwu Ezenwa was awarded the golden glove.
