Micho Dump Uganda Cranes

News coming out of Uganda has it that Milutin ‘ Micho’ Sredojević has resigned as coach of Uganda citing contract violations, unpaid wages and lack of support. The celebrated football coach Micho announced his resignation at presser on Saturday morning. “My employment contract with FUFA has been terminated” Micho said.
“We have stretchered human and practical limits with FUFA” he added without giving further details. Reports are suggesting that his likely next destination is either Orlando Pirates on Zamalek of Egypt.

'Micho' has been the head coach for the Cranes for over four years and won much acclaim for guiding the Cranes through Africa Cup of Nations qualification, ending their lengthy absence from the competition that stretches almost four decades. Full Press Statements “We have stretchered human and practical limits with FUFA.

It is 50 months today since I signed a contract with FUFA. My employment contract with FUFA has been terminated. Due to confidentiality clause in my contract, I will not reveal much. I had reason to resign but I have a million and one reasons for termination of contract.

I will now seek for rehabilitation.Just like break up with some woman whom you have been in love with. I have my values which needed to be respected.

I had never even missed any training session with Uganda Cranes. Uganda still has a VVIP apartment in my heart. You are still a DNA in my body.

I am happy to leave as the minister in charge of happiness for many Ugandans, Life goes on, I want to thank God and my Namungoona church. I will remember 2 dates 4th September 2016 and 17th January 2018. Special dates for Uganda Cranes and Uganda as a nation. I thank all the captains I have worked with from Andy Mwesigwa, Geofrey Massa, Dennis Onyango, Tonny Mawejje and many others.

All Uganda Cranes players I have worked with have a presidential suite in my heart. I have been proud working for Uganda Cranes players and i remain indebted to the cause. I will remain available to assist any coach that comes after me. Thanks FUFA since you could not do anything with their leadership.

I thank the technical team, Sam Timbe, Kefa Kisala, Moses Basena, Fred Kajoba and all those I worked with. I thank the Uganda Cranes medical team of Ivan Ssewanyana and Ronald Kisolo.

Thank you Lawrence Mulindwa for bringing me here(to Uganda). I thank Moses Magogo, the reigning. I say bye. Thanks all. I have top class relations with local coaches I found in Uganda.

Uganda has made me a hot brand I am today. I thank you as I leave. Three national teams and eight clubs have tabled their official bids. Uganda has good coaching capacity. For continuity, I would propose current support team is maintained. I will remain a supporter for Uganda for ages.

Moses Basena is irreplaceable but the other coaches Mike Mutebi, Jackson Mayanja, Sam Ssimbwa are good enough. My contract with Uganda Cranes was officially terminated on Friday, 28th July 2017 at 8 p.m (Ugandan time).

Since we held constructive talks with FUFA last week, they (FUFA) have not got back to me. I am now a fan, not any more coach for Uganda Cranes."
