Gabon 2017 Group C Preview

Group C
Cote D'Ivoire
DR Congo
Morocco
Togo

IVORY COAST : The defending champions will be playing once in a long time with an outside chance because they no longer have the likes of Didier Drogba, Didier Zokora, Kolo and Yaya Toure.
They will also be missing pacy winger Gervinho due to injury. Meanwhile, Football world will keep an eye on Wilfried Zaha who just switched international Allegiance from England and will be assisted by experienced Wilfried Bony, Max Gradel, Serey Die, Salomon Kalou, Eric Bailly and the Controversial Serge Aurier. Frank Kessie is a Chelsea target and has been tipped as the next Yaya Toure.

DR CONGO : CHAN 2016 Champions will be aiming to better their bronze medal performance in 2015.
Players from AS Vita and TP Mazembe are seasoned continental campaigners eventhough they will be without Benik Afobe who withdrew from the Competition and Yannick Bolasie who will be out for 12months due to Knee Injury.

MOROCCO : The Atlas Lions of Morocco led by two time Afcon winning Coach in Herve Renard will be leading troops like Mehdi Benatia who is a top class defender in Africa and Youssef El-Arabi. Noreddine Amrabat is out of the Competition after suffering a Groin Injury in Club duty.

TOGO : Coach Claude LeRoy has included Veteran Striker Emmanuel Adebayor who is currently a Free Agent since his Contract expired with Crystal Palace Last Summer,Goalkeeper Kossi Agassa 38 is also going to the Competition without a Club.
The hawks of togo will be pivoted by Fulham Midfielder Floyd Ayite.

Conclusion : Who can underrate Togo with the massive experience of LeRoy but Ivory Coast and DR Congo looks likely to win the group on paper.
Afcon seems very easy for Herve Renard.
