Jonathan Alaba : There was fear over the years about who will be heir to Precious Dede but Alaba showed that she is good even with her average height. Only conceded one goal from the spot against Ghana and made herself monster against the Hosts in front of a huge home support.
Osinachi Ohale : The youngest defender in the starting eleven,a brave and no nonsense in tackles.Switched to the right fullback position against Mali as she offered pace to the Experienced back line.
Onome Ebi : Even at her age,she remain ever reliable.Last person in defence sometimes and not afraid to put her body on the line to block shots.
Faith Ikidi : Served as a right footed Left back, a move by Coach Omagbemi that Surprised many but she was excellent going forward but narrow defensively.She was the number one corner kick taker,Scored a solid header against Kenya,Her freekick was deflected home by a Ghanian and her solo run won Nigeria the free kick that Oparanozie dispatched against South Africa.
Ngozi Ebere : Known for her dead ball deliveries. The Left back had a decent cameo appearance against Mali and it is still a surprise she didn't have more minutes.
Ugo Njoku : Hardworking Right back and she also combined well with Ikidi for a Goal.
Rita Chikwelu : A player saddled with responsibility to lead the team following the injury to Evelyn Nwabuoku and was initially Operating as attacking midfielder.She was great against Mali with some through Balls.
Halimatu Ayinde : Was in her natural best,always in the mood to keep the engine of the team running.Didn't boss against South Africa and Cameroon.
Ngozi Okobi : The best Nigeria player at Canada 2015.Marked her first start versus Kenya with a Rocket before providing an assist for Asisat Oshoala.Sonia always spray positive passes even when South Africa and Ghana neutralized the Falcons attack and she created the title decider as she also have some beautiful footworks in her.
Francisca Ordega : Scored the first Super Falcons goal in Cameroon.Her best moment was when she raced past a Kenyan to deliver a fine cross for Oparanozie who showed great composure to bury the ball in the net.Franny struggled with the weather.
Asisat Oshoala : A Girl that singlehandedly spelt Mali and it didn't surprise anyone as we know how deadly she can be but perhaps there is room for improvement on how to become a better team Player,how to create chances for others when targeted by opposition and very slow in decision making.Assists will make Asisat Unstoppable.
Uchechi Sunday : Tall and not too fast but posseses aerial prowess and didn't function due to lack of Crosses from Asisat and Fransisca.A very dangerous striker that offers something different and she scored a penalty against Mali.
Osarenoma Igbinovia : With Familiar faces like Ayinde,Chikwelu,Nwabuoku(though out through injury) and Iroka,Nobody will say Igbinovia will be very crucial in our Awcon Campaign but she will be an important member for many years.She can shield the whole world.
Esther Sunday : Didn't have enough minutes but was functional in her cameo.
Chioma Wogu : Best player before the competition,had some assists during the group stage and she put in great shifts as substitute for Ordega.A move to Europe will polish her more.
Desire Oparanozie : Was Injured at the beginning of the Competition,Scored the last three Goals for Nigeria in the Competition and Scoring Free kicks seems to be her culture like she did against Cameroon two years ago.Only one strike was enough to silence the whole Cameroon on Saturday and I will name her my best player of Cameroon 2016.
