Opposition Watch : Zambia announces Provisional Squad for Indomitable lions

The Caretaker Coach of the Chipolopolo of Zambia,coach Wedson Nyirenda has announced a provisional squad of 24 players from the Football Association of Zambia MTN Super League for a training camp to prepare for the 2018 Fifa World Cup Russia Group B qualifier with Cameroon on November 12.

Nyirenda told fazfootball.com on Saturday that the training camp will take place in Lusaka from Sunday, 16 October 2016.
“The residential camp will be held in Lusaka and it will be for a month. Foreign-based players will join us later but the door remains open for more local players to join us.
“After watching the Barclays semi-finals today, I think we will add one or two players to the list. But as of now we have invited 23 players,” said Nyirenda at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.

Meanwhile,Nkana defender Christopher Munthali has received a late call up to the provisional squad of the Zambia National Football Team.
Acting head coach Wedson Nyirenda confirmed to fazfootball.com that Munthali had been recalled following a review of his performance for Nkana in the Barclays Cup semi-final against Zanaco on Saturday.

He will therefore join the other 23 as they prepare for their match with Cameroon in Yaoundé next month.
