Opposition Watch : Marc Wilmots Explanations

The Marc Wilmots/Mohamed Raouraoua encounter occurred. The former boss of the Red Devils and the president of the Algerian football federation (FAF) met Thursday evening in a large Parisian palace, but the discussions failed.

"He was seduced by the professionalism of the project of the national team but he never talked about financial conditions, contrary to what has been written or said here and there," explained Thierry Luthers, sports journalist at RTBF, who met with his compatriot.

Wilmots,offten presented as money magnet and rather greedy, media refutes this image given of him. "I have seen enough to be a man who only thinks about money"he told the Belgian journalist.

After taking the time to reflect on the response to this new challenge that was offered to him, he ultimately chose to decline the offer of Algeria.

Probably worn out by his experience as the head of Coach of Red Devils, "Willi" would not wish to plunge as fast in another national team. "Maybe in 2-3 years" he said.

He will prefer to be a club coach in the meantime,So much for Algeria.
