Jobe Bellingham has made a decision in principle to join Borussia Dortmund, according to reports from BILD. The younger brother of Jude Bellingham — who rose to stardom at Dortmund before joining Real Madrid — now appears set to follow a similar path.
The Sunderland midfielder is eager to make the switch to Germany, with Dortmund seen as the ideal environment for his development. The Bundesliga club are renowned for nurturing young talent, and Jobe’s progress over the past season has caught their attention.
However, negotiations could prove challenging. Sunderland are unwilling to enter talks below his €40 million release clause, as the club views the 18-year-old as a key asset both on and off the pitch.
As it stands, Dortmund must decide whether to meet the clause or attempt to negotiate a structured deal, while other suitors could still enter the race.
