France secured a third-place finish in the UEFA Nations League with a convincing 2-0 victory over Germany in the bronze medal match.
A first-half goal from Kylian Mbappé in the 45th minute gave Les Bleus the lead heading into the break. The Paris Saint-Germain star capped off a strong performance by being named Man of the Match.
France sealed the result late in the second half when Michael Olise struck in the 84th minute, doubling the advantage and ending any hopes of a German comeback.
It was a composed and professional display from Didier Deschamps’ side, who bounced back from their semi-final disappointment to finish the tournament on a high. Germany, meanwhile, will be left to reflect on missed chances as they finish just outside the podium places.
