Former Super Eagles winger Victor Obinna Nsofor is about to resurface in Italy after spending the last 12 months in football obscurity.
Victor Obinna Nsofor could return to a familiar territory as reports suggest he is on the verge of joining Italy fourth division club, USD 1913 Seregno.
The 32-year-old was last active professional at Benni McCarthy's South African outfit Cape Town City but his contract was terminated on mutual ground after playing 13 games and managing to find the back of the net once but the chairman of the club was not impressed.
Obinna Nsofor played for Super Eagles 49 times from 2006 to 2014 and he netted 12 goals while winning Africa Cup of Nations bronze medals in 2006 and 2010 and he was also prominent in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Eagles Silver medal campaign where he scored thrice for Samson Siasia's well tutored wards on their way to the final.
Also on his curriculum vitae are Enyimba, Plateau United, Kwara United, Internazionale, Malaga, Lokomotiv Moscow, Chievo Verona, MSV Duisburg and West Ham United spanning from 2003 to 2018.
Unione Sportiva Dilettantistica 1913 Seregno Calcio are currently campaigning is the Serie D/B which is also referred to as Italian non-professional football association called Lega Nazionale Dilettanti.
Nsofor last featured for an Italian club in 2014 when he made a return to Chievo Verona on loan from West Ham United.
